We’ll start at our Sponsor’s, RideNow Powersports, North Valley, 14827 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85032 This will give everyone a chance to see the new bikes and look the stuff they have for your bike. KSU 08:00
Off we go to the I-17 and then the 74 passing those folks out there on their boat on Lake Pleasant and then to the Wild West Town of Wickenburg. We’ll head north, and after the anticipation is killing us we will climb the Mighty Yarnell Hill and get gas at Peeple’s Valley. When we get to the Kirkland cut-off, we head out on the asphalt cow path commonly referred to as Yava (15) & Bagdad (96) Roads.
Make sure if you have a GO-Pro or the likes you have it going while on this ride. Yarnell Hill is always a hoot, but the Yava & Bagdad route is one for the Big Screens. The landscape and its curves are very exciting in a leisurely way. You’ll want the video to relive this famous ride.
Meal Stop: Get ready for some real nostalgia folks. There in the heart of the Copper Mine Company Town of Bagdad Arizona sits the infamous ‘The Diner on Main’. Behold this shiny vision of yesteryear with its black and white tile floor, booth and stool sitting at the bar look, relives what your grandparents ate at when they traveled Route 66 in their Nash Rambler. The menu is modest and fair. It will be a photo stop for the group for sure.
A reminder, anyone can drop out of our rides for any reason at any time and take different routes back home if they so choose. We just ask if you would post on Face Book (FB), or let the Road Captain know you are home safe, so we don’t send the Cavalry out to find you. Remember this is still the Wild Wild West out here!
